CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WASHINGTON DAY BANQUET 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at Five Points Washington. Dinner is 7 p.m. Entertainment will be WCOC’s version of “The Tonight Show.” Tickets are $35 per person. DANCE DAY 1-4 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Performing Arts Center of Illinois Central College, East Peoria. Includes classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop and modern, a tour of the Performing Arts Center, a performance by the TazWood Dance Co. and refreshments. 2010 Heart of america natural classic 6 p.m. May 8 at Five Points Washington. Natural Body Building and Figure Show sanctioned by the National Gym. VIP tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. Other tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children.

LIBRARY

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4, Washington District Library in the Library Meeting Room. The featured movie will be “A Charlie Brown Valentine.” Free to the public.

SUPER BOWL SILENT AUCTION through Feb. 6, main library at Five Points. Highest bidder will win bowl or basket. All proceeds go to the Washington District Library’s collection, programs and children’s department.

Storytime at the Library Storytime for young children, ages 3-6, will be offered at the Washington District Library, 380 N. Wilmor Rd. at Five Points beginning the first week in February. Call the library, 444-2241 for more info and to register.

HOMEWORK HELP 3:30-5 p.m. Mon. — Thurs. through May at the main library.

Teen Advisory board 5-6 p.m. first Thursday of every month at the main library. Discuss ideas for teen programs, help choose new teen books, CDs, etc. For more info, call 444-2241.

A.N.I.M.E. 6-7:30 p.m. second Tuesday of every month in the main library for teens who like to read, watch or draw anime and manga.

DISTRICT 50 MUSIC BOOSTERS ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER 4-7 p.m. Feb. 6 at John L. Hensey School Gym on Almond Street in Washington. All-you-can-eat dinner is $5 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under.  The band and choir will perform. 

TAZEWELL MILITARY RITES TEAM FUNDRAISER 5-8 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Creve Coeur V.F.W., 628 S. Main St., Creve Coeur. Hot dog and chilli dinner for $5, vocalist Gary Raye will perform. For more info, call 699-4344.

RYAN BATES GAME DAY TOURNAMENT 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington featuring Wii video games and bean bag tournament. Money collected at the tournament will be donated toward a handicapped accessible playground in memory of Ryan Bates, who lost his battle with leukemia at the age of 20. TAZEWELL COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY MEETING 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at Erlicher Library, 719 N Eleventh St., Pekin. Author Dale Kuntz will present “Who Stole John’s Corn?” a case of attorney Abraham Lincoln which involved people from Little Mackinaw Township.
