GLEN HARKINS MEMORIAL DUGOUT for Washington Community High School baseball team fundraiser, April 11, Kep’s Place. Dinner: 5-9 p.m. Entertainment: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Tickets: $75 for two, April 8. After April 8, $50 per person.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S CONNECTION“ Spring Style Showcase” luncheon and style show, from 12:30-2 p.m. April 22, Countryside Banquet Facility, 659 School St., Washington. Presentation of spring fashions by Cato, a ladies apparel shop located near Washington Wal-Mart. Speaker: Kerrie Oles from Dallas. Cost: $14, includes lunch, program, tax and gratuity. SOCIETY

ANNUAL APRIL BANQUET, 6 p.m. April 27, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church family life center, South Main Street. Tickets: $16, includes dinner catered by CBS and entertainment by the Central Illinois Civil War Dancers. Tickets available at the chamber of commerce, 112 Washington Square, or by mailing check made out to the Washington Historical Society to Mary Jo Parish, 1303 Hampton Road, Washington, IL 61571. LIBRARY

SPRING BOOK SALE, sponsored by the Friends of the Washington Library pre-sale, 5-7 p.m. April 24. Admission to pre-sale free to FOWL members, $5 entrance fee for non-members.New memberships will be taken at door. First day of sale, April 25, no fee. Hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 25 ($1 per item except newer bestsellers), 9 a.m.-6 p.m. April 27 (50 cents per item), 9 a.m.-8 p.m. April 28 ($2 per bag), 9 a.m.-noon (leftover items are free). WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL choirs annual spring concert, 7 p.m. April 20, Caterpillar Performing Arts Center at Five Points Washington. Music of many styles and time periods featured.
