City water and sewer workers were out in the early morning hours Sunday to repair a water main break near Washington Community High School.
Water and sewer maintenance supervisor Rick Janes said he received a call from a maintenance worker at 3:30 a.m. that there was a water main break near the high school.
City crews took water samples to be sent in for testing and repaired the main Sunday morning.
Janes said because samples are not tested on Sunday, the water samples were sent in Monday.
Five Points Washington, WCHS, Washington Church of Christ and the Washington Fire Department were under a boil order Monday.
The boil order was lifted early tuesday morning after the test results showed the water main break did not affect drinking water at affected commercial properties.
Janes said no residential properties were affected by the break.
