This past Saturday 450 residents filled the banquet rooms at Five Points Washington for Howl at the Moon.

Howl at the Moon is a dueling piano show that involves the audience. The event has grown to 11 locations including Chicago and St. Louis.

It is reported that Howl at the Moon is likely to gotten its origins from Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans.

The musicians, well versed in many styles of music and songs, engage the audience and encourage audience participation.

Normally, the two will play for an hour and then switch off with two more performers. However, that is when they are playing "at home."

Many in attendance at Saturday's event expressed how impressed they were by the fact that the Andrew Blendermann and Tony Kidonakis played for about three hours without a break.

Audience members also expressed a genuine appreciation for the music, saying they believe the show should return.

Saturday's event was organized by Kristy Howell, recreation manager for the Washington Park District, after she attended Chicago's Howl at the Moon.
