Washington, Ill. -

Rockers wanting to see the Kids Rock 4 Kids benefit concert postponed from last month will get their chance Friday.

The System After and Last in Line will perform starting at 7:30 p.m. at Stonewings Banquet Center, 659 School St. in Washington. Tickets are $7 at the door, and doors open at 7 p.m.

Washington Community High School sophomore Tina Abreu and several other WCHS students started the organization, Kids Rock 4 Kids to raise money for children in Uganda.

Abreu said she got the idea from a speaker from Schools For Schools at Snowball 2007.

Kids Rock 4 Kids members plan to have several fundraising events throughout the summer.

In the fall, the group will partner with Global Affairs, which will be a WCHS sanctioned organization next school year.
