The Washington Community High School boys swimming and diving team broke seven records during the 2012-13 season.

Diver Ethan Dusch, a senior, beat his own previous record of 278 points with a score of 353 with 11 dives.

He also posted a six-dive score of 189 points to shatter his previous mark of 163.

Senior Spencer Scheirer swam the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:01.09, beating his old record of 2:03.78, set in 2010.

He also broke his 3-year-old record of 1:02.48 in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.51.

Tyler Ditman, a senior, snapped his former mark of 1:06.07 when he swam the 100 backstroke in 1:05.47.

Freshman Brennan Schmidt completed the 200 individual medley in 2:11.66, which broke Scheirer’s 2010 record of 2:19.67.

Schmidt also beat Brett Grimes’ record of 1:08.09 in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.49.
