WASHINGTON—Michael L. Butler, 64, of Washington, died at 8:44 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born on July 19, 1948 in Mahanoy City, Penn. to Stephen and Delores (Gallagher) Butler, he married Barbara Heiberger on June 3, 1972.
She preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Royce (Robin Albertsen) Butler and Rory (Michelle) Butler, both of East Peoria; two daughters, Jon’l (Tim) Alexander of Mossville and Trina Butler of Washington; seven grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Butler of Texas and two sisters, Virginia (Richard) Fisher of New Jersey and Patricia Butler of Davenport, Iowa.
He worked for SC2 (Superior Consolidated Industries) for 23 years working in management and also as a fork lift operator.
He was a member of the Midwest Gun Club.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev Jeff Browning officiating.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
