WASHINGTON — Nancy K. Boehle, 76, of Washington died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at her home.
Born on Sept. 29, 1936 in Peoria, to Ernest C. and Elenora (Nau) Meyer, she married Donald F. Boehle on Feb. 15, 1958 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl A. (Robert) Smith of Washington and Susan (Ed) Zehr of Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands; three sons, Michael (Debby) Boehle of Cornell, Mark (Lisa) Boehle of Greenwich, N.Y. and Joseph Boehle (Steven Graziano) of Chicago; one sister, Eileen "Toby" Ayres of Peoria, and eight grandchildren
She received her registered nursing degree and was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Class of 1957.
She and her husband, were active volunteers for the Christian Appalachia Project for many years; and she also volunteered at the Peoria Soup Kitchen.
She also served as president of the Central Illinois U.S. Naval Academy Parents Club and as an election judge.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights, and a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington.
A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. The Rev. Msgr. William Watson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, where recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
