WASHINGTON—Mary Ann Falk Lindahl, 85, died Sept. 21, 2012 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, S.C.
Born Dec. 20, 1925 in Page County, Iowa to the late Gotfred Falk and Anna Ericson Falk. During and after WWII, she worked for the Air Corp at the Pentagon. She later enrolled at Iowa State University and studied nutrition.  
She married Herbert “Herb) Lindahl on April 16, 1950 in Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Bruce (Bobbi) Lindahl of Danville, Dr. Larry (Diana) Lindahl of Washington, Nancy (Mickey) Ester of St. Louis, Mo. and Craig (Sue) Lindahl of San Ramon, Calif.  She also had ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was the former president of the PTA, a volunteer with Hospice and an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Danville and was a founding and active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Vance, SC.  
She was also a volunteer at the Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. John Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
A memorial service was held on Sept. 23 at Hope Lutheran Church in Vance, SC.
