Washington (14-4, 3-1) remained one game behind Mid-Illini co-leaders Limestone and Metamora with a two-set victory over the Potters.

The Lady Panthers have the Rockets (Tuesday) and Redbirds (Thursday) on tap in the week-three league schedule.

Williams produced 10 assists and seven kills for Washington, both team-high totals.

Spurgeon also had a big night at Torry Gymnasium with 11 digs and three aces.

Ally Deiters joined Spurgeon with a three-ace performance. Watson made two blocks.

The Lady Panther sophomores were 25-21, 26-24 winners, while the freshman posted a 25-14, 25-12 victory.
