WASHINGTON — A. June Warren, 76, of Washington, died at 3:15 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.


 

WASHINGTON — A. June Warren, 76, of Washington, died at 3:15 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Oct. 11, 1934, in Indianapolis to John and Violet Chapman Basham, she married Walter M. Warren in Lincoln, Neb., Jan. 23, 1961. Walter died Feb. 2, 2004, in Texas.

Among those surviving are three daughters, Cynthia (Norman) Lewis of Sinclair, Wyoming, Gaylene Sue (Terry) Frye of Burnt Prairie and Lisa Warren of Washington; two sons, James Karmizin of Santa Fe, N.M., and Walter (Cynthia) Warren of Horn Lake, Miss., 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  

June was also preceded in death by one daughter, Chris Warren Garcia and two sisters.

June had been an RSVP Volunteer in Peoria for many years and also was a member of the Church of Christ in East Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Mason-White Funeral Home with the Rev. Zach Cox officiating. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Cremation rites will be accorded following services on Saturday and burial of ashes will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington at a later date.

Memorials for June may be made to the Schultz Lewis Childrens Home in Valparaiso, Indiana.
