WASHINGTON — Viola Fern Kroepel, 87, of Washington, died at 1:33 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Washington Christian Village.


 

WASHINGTON — Viola Fern Kroepel, 87, of Washington, died at 1:33 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Washington Christian Village.

Born Feb. 12, 1924, in Washington to John and Myrtle Wolcott Kinsinger, she married Richard Kroepel in Ames, Iowa Dec. 18, 1943. He died Nov. 13, 1988, in Washington.

Among those surviving are two sons, Richard (Ellen) Kroepel of Arlington Heights and Cary Kroepel of Morse Mills, Mo.; two daughters, Gloria (Dennis) Marcantoni of Glen Ellyn and Margaret Herrel of Lisle; one brother, Melvin Kinsinger of West Lake, Ohio; one grandson and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and a granddaughter; one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Bates officiating. 

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington and one hour prior to services at the church.
