Billboard announced Tuesday that an Illinois State University student from Washington has made it to Billboard’s top 10 in the worldwide Lady Gaga Look-Alike Contest.

Jessica Funcannon was chosen from hundreds of entries in the first round of the competition to make it to the finals. This final round began Wednesday and voting will continue on Billboard’s website until Aug. 30.

The award for the first place winner is an all-expense-paid trip to Vegas to see the Lady herself in concert.

“Several people have told me that I look like Gaga, but personally it was hard for me to see at first,” said Funcannon.

Funcannon and some friends from Sean Hagwell Inc. went to downtown Chicago to put the resemblance to the test.

“I was walking down Madison Avenue in a trash bag dress,” said Funcannon. “People were going crazy! Hundreds of people followed me all over downtown. People were screaming and crying. They actually thought I was Lady Gaga.”

The field trip resulted in the contest photo of Funcannon walking down the steps of a downtown building, glowing in the shade of “Gaga.”

“Making top 10 is so exciting and unexpected,” said Funcannon. I’m looking forward to the results of this final round!”

Support Jessica by going to Billboard.com by Aug. 30 to vote for her Lady Gaga photo and help her go from 10 to top.
